The Light of Day is a 1962 novel by Eric Ambler, an English author of thrillers and spy novels. This novel was described as "a psychological sketch of brutal acuity, wrapped in a comic masterpiece" (Reaction.life). It was nominated for the 1962 Gold Dagger award, and it won the Mystery Writers of America's Edgar Allan Poe Award for best novel in 1964. The novel was adapted into a film (Topkapi) in 1964.
Condition✨
This hardcover is a first American edition, but it is missing its dust jacket. There is also some discoloration on the top half of the book (see pictures). Otherwise, the book is in good condition, and the cloth cover is a beautiful turquoise.
